This is for the error message: “Windows cannot open this file” on Windows 10 when download Forscan extended license
I use WIN XP on my Laptop. NO problems with Extended License…
But I see some people got problems with WIN 10 …
The error message can be: “Windows can not open this file”
I installed Forscan on my PC running WIN 10…and yes there is a Problem with actuating the extended license…
This is what I did…
Download the extended license…make a new folder and name it License. Put the extended license .key file in to that folder.
Go to Windows (C:) and find the FORScan Folder… Mine was in Program Files (x86)
Paste the ” License Folder ” in to FORscan…
Or: Right click on ForScan shortcut, Properties, Open File location…put License Folder in there.
Next:
Open the FORscan program
Click on [ Load License Key ] and this should take you here..
Open License Folder and take it from there…
When done it should look like this:
