How to Configure WiFi Connection for Original JLR DoIP VCI

Original Jaguar Land Rover diagnostic tool JLR DoIP VCI supports both USB and WiFi connection. Here’s the guide to configure the LAN setting.
Procedure:
Connect JLR DoIP VCI W-F interface with vehicle
Connect the other end of VCI with laptop via USB cable

Open VCI Manager (JLR), press Connect

Choose Network Setup tab->Wired Etherent

Tick Enable Wired Etherent Interface

Press Apply button and Yes

Then disconnect USB connection
Close VCI Manager
Open VCI Manager again
Press Connect
Go to Network Setup->Wired Etherent
Press Set Factory Default

Press OK if system prompts you are about to reset the VCI communication settings to a factory default state.

Enable network connection
Press Set Factory Default again

In Wireless (802.11), choose Obtain an IP address automatically, then press Access Point

Choose Wireless resource which is the same as the your network
Press Configure

Enter wireless security password (encryption key)
Press Next

JLR VCI is configured to connect to your network
Disconnect and then Connect VCI

It shows WiFi connection is done
Open JLR SDD software on desktop

Press Connect

Now you can run SDD software for diagnosis

Autel IM608 IM600 “Function available on a pay-per-use basis ” Solution

Question:
Just found this in  advance mode after new update. When try to program VW 4th immobilizer all keys lost, Auro otosys im600 Auto Key Programmer gives error message “This function is available on a pay-per-use basis.  Continue or not?” How to obtain token for otosys ?

You need to pay 10USD for each car to do following function with Auro OtoSys IM600 or Autel MaxiIM IM608:
1. VW immo 4 instrument: key learning and all key lost by OBD;
2. IMMO 4+MQB Key: key learning and all key lost by OBD ;
3. MQB instrument: key learning by OBD for VW and Audi JCI type and few VDD instrument (like virtual cockpit instrument)  MQB system can only add key, no all keys lost.

You buy the key blank like that, you can’t cut it down on any machine. It’s dependant on the code series of the vehicle, 40k and 80k.

You need to use two decoders to calibrate then you will see a massive difference mate
Question: why when I decode a key the numbers are red and blue . Do the colors mean anything?
Answer: This is called rounding. The blue number should be the number with a decimal point. The red color is an integer. If your original key is very worn, you can leave it off, so that the cut key is the same as the original key. If the lock is new and not worn, you can turn it on, so that the key that was cut out is what the original key was worn before. I mean there is a round-off button. when you deocder key. In another word, if it’s off , it will copy the key just as the customers key is . If it’s on it will round off to the correct factory depths .
